Because of the way things were published I was going to say Ward might have gotten the idea from Alan Fraser's humorous Invisible George -in one episode George can't find his visibility serum so goes downstairs to see a guest -only his head visible! It's a lovely touch AND it saved Ward drawing a full body !!! There is a lot of long lost fun out there!
