Six New Acquisitions

The new annuals are from the end tail of the Golden Age of British comics are from the beginning and then the tail end of the Silver age.

Circa 1948 so in the British Golden Age, Tom Puss Tales is not British! Tom Puss (Tom Poes in Dutch) is a Dutch comic strip, created by Marten Toonder. Together with Hans G. Kresse's Eric de Noorman and Pieter Kuhn's Kapitein Rob it is regarded as the Big Three of Dutch comics. Value of this book varies from £12.50 to £50

Tuck's Annual has no date but was given as a present in "Xmas 1950" so would have been printed that year.

The others all have the date on their covers.

With postage this lot cost £11.00 because they are not the "big money books".

The Ultimate British Gold Collection and its Contents

Some people outside of the UK and Europe (mainly the United States) have a problem understanding what A4 size is. Well here is a modern Marvel comic atop an A4 book. So it is larger than "Legal" size I believe.

"How many pages?" Over 400 so as this photo of the spine shows it is a thick book -about an inch thi9ck actually!

And a few interior shots -sorry no scanner and my camera is so old they call it "digital"! not "Digi"!
